Monica Lam, Stanford University The POMI project: Programmable, Open, Mobile Internet As the IP and cellular network converges, and smart phones becoming widely available around the world, we have the exciting opportunity to create a new computing environment that will overtake the PC desktop computing as we know it. Many of the researchers at Stanford have been working on fixing the security and reliability of software on PCs and existing network designs. We are launching a new project to take a clean-slate approach in creating a secure, reliable computing infrastructure where we can easily share personal digital assets easily and safely.
